tax-saver.app is built by a solo founder who personally faced the problems this platform solves. Your trust is everything. We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

What Data We Collect

Currently (Waitlist Phase):

• Email address
• Bank preference (optional)
• Income range (optional)
• Anonymous analytics data (page views, referrer sources)

Future (When Service is Active):

• CNIC (for PSEB registration only)
• Business/freelance income details
• Bank account information (for IT export classification)
• Temporary document uploads (e.g., PRCs, invoices) — deleted after 30 days

How We Use Your Data

• Waitlist Notifications: To email you when slots are available
• Service Delivery: To help you register with PSEB and file tax returns
• Product Improvement: To understand what features users need most

We will NEVER use your data for unsolicited marketing or sell it to third parties.

Data Security

• All data is stored on Supabase (SOC 2 Type II certified, encrypted at rest)
• We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
• Access to user data is restricted to the founder only (no team members yet)
• Document uploads will use encrypted temporary links (similar to DocuSign)

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data at any time
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data (email us at hello@tax-saver.app)
• Correction: Update your information if it's incorrect
• Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from emails with one click

GDPR-Style Compliance

While Pakistan is not subject to GDPR (European regulation), we follow GDPR-inspired principles:

• We only collect data necessary for the service
• We are transparent about what we collect and why
• You can delete your account and data anytime
• We do not use your data for purposes beyond what you consented to

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase: Database hosting (secure, encrypted)
• Vercel: Website hosting and analytics
• Future: Email provider (e.g., Resend) for transactional emails only

These services have their own privacy policies and security measures.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. If we make significant changes, we'll notify users via email before the changes take effect.
